04 - Red gel food coloring
05 - Green gel food coloring
06 - Assorted holiday sprinkles, mini candies, and colored sugar
07 - 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or candy pearls
08 - 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
# How-To:
01 - Unroll the store-bought Swiss roll cake carefully. Spread an even layer of whipped cream or frosting inside if desired, then gently re-roll the cake.
02 - Place the cake roll seam-side down on a serving platter.
03 - Divide the vanilla frosting into three bowls. Tint one portion red, another green, and leave the third white.
04 - Using an offset spatula or butter knife, frost the cake roll with the colored frostings in sections or fun patterns to simulate a holiday sweater.
05 - Decorate with sprinkles, mini candies, chocolate chips, colored sugar, and shredded coconut as desired to create playful designs such as zig-zags, polka dots, snowflakes, or reindeer.
06 - Refrigerate the decorated cake roll for at least 15 minutes to set decorations before slicing and serving.
